Swimming pool in Rydges Resort Hunter Valley
We stayed in the East Village which is behind the pool area . It was accessible and made it easy to walk over to games room, restaurant and pool. The bathrooms had full size shampoo, conditioner and body wash and ample amount of soap and towels. I was very surprised and impressed with that! Most resorts have those teeny tiny plastic bottles that are one time use- these can be easily refilled reducing waste and giving the patrons ease of mind knowing they have enough for showering. They use the “Thank you” company for toiletries and that’s a big thumbs up from us. We stayed during super hot weather but there was enough space in our villa to just chill and with air conditioning and a tv in each room, everyone could just relax after a day at the pool. We were given tea towels, dishwasher tablets and liquid for hand washing, sponge and the plates and cups were all spotless clean.

Room was wonderful, clean and had a balcony overlooking the large pool and kids play area. Bed was comfy. Large bathroom with separate bath and enough space to hang towels and put your toiletries. The breakfast is just brilliant, lots of options for kids and they are accommodating with cooking a la carte as well as the pre-prepared and self-serve options. The kids pool area really is the big drawcard for us, its very easy to spend the day there and relax whilst the kids swim. There is also a great kids club area and of course golf and walking tracks around the resort.

The kids absolutely loved the swimming pool the fun water area and the spa! The games room was a massive hit too! 1000x loved all you could eat breakfast such an amazing range of food and drink options! I wish I had paid to do it daily while I was up there. It was fun watching all the golfers play golf just from the back door. The volleyball was a massive hit too and the fun last night of enjoying the yummy desserts and Mexican food! The house we called home for a week was super spacious and modern. Fantastic all around. Thank you!

Having stayed here before under Crowne Plaza we knew to expect a good standard. We were happy to see that breakfast was still really good and the in service dining options were too. Very family friendly with the water park and main pool being big and shallow for the kids. We love the ease of the resort in that it is close to all the local events (The huntervalley Gardens Christmas lights were beautiful). Could easily come and just stay at the resort with so much to do for the kids and with restaurants on site.

The family entertainment options were fantastic! My kids didn't get out of the heated pool for hours on end, only to have some snacks available poolside. The Water Dragons Kids Club offered a nice supervised time for the kids while us parents got 3 hours of well deserved time off. Then the arcade games at night.. we barely wanted to leave the hotel to explore around! The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pricey but excellent, the dinner options great too.
